Description
The Apprentice Doctor® Control the Bleed Training Kit, together with its online course, was created to teach anyone the skills necessary to stop bleeding in emergencies as well as controlled clinical environment. Using the supplies provided in the kit, students follow step-by-step tutorials to practise proper techniques such as applying direct pressure, packing and bandaging wounds, using tourniquets, as well as advanced methods like clamping and tying-off blood vessels.
The kit is suitable for both individual learners and groups, such as in a workshop setting, with enough supplies for up to four students. It is also useful for educators, first responders, and security personnel who need to master or even teach emergency bleeding control skills for situations like active shooter incidents.
The included trainer arm can simulate pressurized bleeding up to 160 mmHg.
The course includes instructional videos that teach, step-by-step, the various ways to stop bleeding, including all the relevant medical theory.
